A middle school assistant principal in Florida, Dr. Keva Lark, has been arrested following shocking allegations involving a 13-year-old student. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Lark, who is married and holds a position of authority at Lake Marian Creek Middle School, reportedly instructed the boy to rub her feet, claiming it was a lesson on 𝑠e𝑥ual foreplay. The incident came to light after the student was sent to Lark’s office for disciplinary action related to throwing paper during a test.
Witnesses allege that Lark not only removed her shoes but also encouraged the student to massage her feet, saying, “Rub my feet like you love me.” As the inappropriate interaction escalated, she allegedly instructed the boy on how to massage her arms and shoulders. Disturbingly, she referred to him as “𝑠e𝑥y chocolate” in the school hallway, further evidencing the alleged misconduct.
Lark’s actions were reported to authorities by the school principal on April 5, leading to her arrest. She now faces serious charges of lewd conduct and lewd offense against a student by an authority figure. While Lark admitted to crossing the line in conversations with witnesses, she denied making any inappropriate comments to the victim.
Legal experts emphasize the gravity of the situation, noting that the power dynamics involved make her alleged actions particularly egregious. The prosecution may encounter challenges, particularly regarding the victim’s willingness to testify, but corroborating witness accounts could strengthen their case.
The Polk County Public Schools superintendent condemned Lark’s behavior, stating it is unacceptable for anyone in an educational role. Dr. Lark is currently on administrative leave as the investigation unfolds, raising questions about the responsibilities of educational institutions to protect students from such misconduct. As the case develops, it will be crucial to examine the implications for both Lark’s career and the broader educational environment.
